GS Wii Review #6 - Wii Sports

Posted : 6 years, 10 months ago on 16 August 2011 06:25 (A review of Wii Sports)

Gameplay: Wii Sports is a sports mini-game compilation that is bundled with the Wii. It includes Baseball, Bowling, Boxing, Golf, and Tennis. All control great and are very fun to play with others. My personal favorite is bowling, because of how accurate it is.

Graphics: The graphics are good, but nothing to brag about. The cutesy-look and music help this games fun atmosphere even more.

Story: No story here.

Overall: Wii Sports is a above average sports game compilation that you and your family should have a lot of fun with! For a bundled game, it doesn't come with much, but it is basically free and is alot of fun, so, yeah!

GS Wii Review #5 - SB: Atlantis Squarepantis

Posted : 6 years, 10 months ago on 16 August 2011 06:14 (A review of SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis)

Gameplay: The game is split up into multiple types of gameplay. There are really crappy rythem game sections, overhead puzzle sections, on-rails photography sections, and my favorite, the driving sections! All of the levels except, the driving ones, play okay, but are boring.

Graphics: This game is colorful, but ugly! The graphics look like a early PS2 game. It is very pathetic.

Story: Spongebob and friends are sent to Atlantis and you control them as things there go from bad to worst. It can be finished in a few hours.

Overall: This is an average movie tie-in that can be finished really quickly. It is worth a rent if you have little ones who love SpongeBob.

GS Wii Review #4 - Wii Play

Posted : 6 years, 10 months ago on 16 August 2011 05:56 (A review of Wii Play)

Gameplay: Wii Play is split up into 9 mini-games, ranging from fun to incredibly stupid. There is the target shooting game, the pick-a-Mii-in-the-crowd game, a table tennis game, a game where you turn your Mii into shapes in the right position, a pong rip-off, pool, a fishing game, a...cow riding game, and a tank mini-game. They are all okay mini-games, except for the pick-a-Mii game, the tank game, and the cow riding game. Nothing really special to these games.

Graphics: The games are very colorful, especially the pong one, and some look kind of impressive (like the cow-riding one), but overall is not anyting special.

Story: No story here. Just a mini-game compilation.

Overall: At the time of this games release, most people only bought it for the Wii remote that was bundled. It is a fun mini-game compilation, but nothing special.

GS Wii Review #3 - Dewy's Adventure

Posted : 6 years, 10 months ago on 13 August 2011 09:08 (A review of Dewy's Adventure)

Gameplay: Dewy's Adventure is a platform game controlled by rolling Dewy around by turning the Wii remote to tilt the world. You can change into different forms of Dewy for different situations also. Dewy's controls can get very frustrating at times, though. The game is definatly one hard platformer and most little kids that play this game will never beat it. It is a great platformer, but a very challenging one at that.

Graphics: Dewy's cutesy world will make you smile multiple times throughout this colorful adventure! This game has above average graphics for the Wii and a very colorful, happy world to boot!

Story: While, there really isn't much of a story, what there is actually very light-hearted and happy (as stated before). It also has a enviromental message, which I kind of like!

Overall: Dewy's Adventure is a cute, challenging platformer that will bring you to your knees because of difficulty, but lure you back in with cuteness!

GS Wii Review #2 - Pokemon Battle Revolution

Posted : 6 years, 10 months ago on 13 August 2011 08:58 (A review of Pokemon Battle Revolution)

Gameplay: If you have played a Pokemon game in the past 2 decades, than you know how this game will play out. It is the normal turn-based RPG style that has been in every Pokemon game. Aside from the ability to transfer Pokemon from your DS into the game, there really is nothing special about this game. Its fun for about 10 mins. and then you move onto something else.

Graphics: The graphics in this game are actually above average for Wii and are actually pretty impressive. Not to mention the the colorfulness of the arenas. The one thing that sucks is that there are only a few arenas and no towns to explore.

Story: You are a Pokemon trainer fighting other Pokemon trainers? Yep, no story here.

Overall: Pokemon Battle Revolution is a lackluster game, with not much to do or see. If you and a friend have Pokemon Diamond or Pearl, than it is worth a rent!

Gamersean Wii Review #1 - Super Mario Galaxy

Posted : 6 years, 10 months ago on 13 August 2011 08:47 (A review of Super Mario Galaxy)

For my first Wii game review, I will be reviewing one of my favorite games for th Wii and one of my favorite games of all time, Super Mario Galaxy.

Gameplay: The platforming of Super Mario Galaxy is top-notch! There was never a moment where I got frustrated with the controls. The difficulty is really high though! This game is hard! The one thing that sets this game apart from others is the gravity element, never before had I had to think in ways I never though a video game could! Gameplay is flawless!

Graphics: They may not be HD, but the graphics of Mario Galaxy are the best for Wii! This game looks incredible! Besides the almost-HD graphics, the imagination and creativity put into every inch of this game is astonishing!

Story: This is a Mario game, so there really is no story, but what it does offer, is pretty darn epic and, at times, very emotional and heart-warming!

Overall: This is a near-perfect game! This is one of the greatest games ever made and is a must-buy for Wii owners!
